A tablespoon a day for health

The American Heart Association reports that eating over half a tablespoon of olive oil a day may lower heart disease risk. According to the Journal of the American College of Cardiology people who consumed at least half a tablespoon per day of olive oil had lower rates of premature death from heart disease, Alzheimer's and other causes compared to people who never or hardly ever ate olive oil.

Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is the central fat source for the Mediterranean diet. The American Heart Association emphasizes the Mediterranean diet for preventing cardiovascular disease.

It's also just a really delicious diet!  Good for you and tastes good too, what's not to love?

Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is much better than just plain old olive oil because it is not subjected to high heat or chemical processes.  Holive Oil for example is made from olives that are hand picked, immediately cold pressed to make amazing extra virgin olive oil, and that's it.  Holive Oil is not messed with and that's one reason why it tastes so good.  Another reason is that it is made from Barnea olives, that are know for their fruity flavor, and a third reason is that Holive is made from early harvest olives, which means that the oil produced is high in polyphenols and about the most delicious an olive oil can be.

Polyphenols are super healthy compounds that according to studies help protect that heart and reduce blood pressure and inflammation.  They also give Holive Oil that bit of a peppery bite you can taste in every mouthful.
